Note that this map does not show the exact lots where public housing is located as this data is not released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) – it only shows the general vicinity of public housing’s location at a block level.
The data to create this map has been sourced from question 57 the 2016 ABS Census.
Notice something that doesn’t seem right on this map? Note that this data has been subject to randomisation by the ABS to preserve the anonymity of Census responses. Where values are small, these randomisations can have a significant impact on the percentages of social housing shown in this map. Census respondents may also provide incorrect information.
