Preface from the Directory
“Gregory’s Street Directory for Sydney and Suburbs” is the most complete and up-to-date and the clearest work of reference of its kind yet available to the public of the metropolitan district.
The maps, drawn to scale by expert draftsmanship, show the whole of the 14,000 odd streets in that territory. The principal through streets and roads are given in heavy outline, and the railways and tramways, as well as other distinctive points, are drawn prominently to make reference the easier and more certain.”
